Realizing an Adaptive, Self-Organizing MANET: Meta-protocol, Adaptive Model and Custom Networking Engine Framework Built on a COTS Platform

In this paper, we outline a vision for constructing adaptive, self-organizing mobile adhoc networks using a COTS communications platform. Defense Technologies, Inc (DTI) has created an efficient data link communications platform on which adaptive, self-organizing network structures can be explored for autonomous C2 applications. We cite specifics about this platform, and discuss some of our prior research in exploring methodologies for constructing this type of adaptive system.
